Tips to get you mowing right this season
Many key elements are involved in lawn care and maintenance, but timing ideally plays an extremely important role. So, you may be asking yourself what steps do I have to take to keep my lawn in a great shape. No worries with a bit of planning and a little hard work, you can take care of your lawn by following the proven and time tested approach that yields results. Here are just a few.
Time to Mow your Lawn Grass
- Mowing your Fescue grass once and even twice a week is necessary during the growing season which generally starts from spring and can last into late fall depending on your area. Be sure to pay close attention to your lawn and mow as needed and early if needed.
- At the beginning of the spring season when your lawn grass is not growing aggressively mowing once a week is our advice. We do not recommend mowing less than once a week.
- Mow your grass at a height of about 3 1/2 inches and avoiding cutting it too short. Mowing too short may make it more susceptible to harsh environmental conditions, because short grass may be at higher risk of getting damaged by dry and hot summer weather.
- Remove leftover excessive grass clippings immediately because they will reduce the aeration and prevent sunlight from getting to the lawn, resulting in an unhealthy lawn and contributing to overall poor lawn conditions and problems.
